Michelle has loved pottery since she was just a little piece of clay. As an artist and writer, michelle fuses her two talents into one expression of fun with whimsical designs and witty messages that are right on the dot.

In 2001, dot pottery was born as the custom design line from the dynamic patterns pottery studio in Ithaca, New York. In 2005, dot pottery was relocated to Springfield, Illinois. Michelle’s work has been commissioned by the Telfair Museum of Art, Warm Biscuit Bedding Company, and the Corazonas Heart Healthy Snacks, Il Capuccino Italian Ristorante, as well as for engagements, weddings, anniversaries, births, birthdays, new homes, and graduations and other special moments in life for people all across the United States.

Michelle graduated  from the University of Illinois at Ubana-Champaign (Go Illini!) and lives in Springfield, Illinois with her husband Matthew and their two adorable kiddos.  When not chasing after little ones, painting pottery, or cleaning something, Michelle is the director of marketing at Denney Jewelers. She finds joy in helping people discover or create the perfect memory to celebrate the special occasions in life.
